Large organizations operate all over world and need complex and professional management of the processes of planning, storage, transportation and supply of items, materials, parts and products throughout the entire work processes. Logistics is an academic profession that encompasses the planning of purchasing and equipping processes, production (which involves many organizations with complex interfaces and elements of transportation back and forth), storage (throughout the process and at the end, at the manufacturers and at the customers), transportation, supply and support during use. The profession is taught at all degree levels in hundreds of universities around the world.
Logistics studies include acquiring knowledge in inventory management, procurement, supply and support systems; performance research and prediction, as well as optimization methods; management and operation of supply chains; project management; budgeting and pricing, and no less important - the use of logistics information systems. A logistics manager must be well proficient in all these subjects, which include knowledge of mathematics, statistics, stochastic processes and management information systems.

Program goals
Qualify leading professionals in logistics operation of complex organizational systems and provide them with knowledge and tools in the various fields that are combined the logistics profession.
Qualify graduates from a variety of disciplines to meet the needs of advanced logistics management in large organizations in the economy.
Establish and maintain a university knowledge center in logistics (both in research and teaching), with an affinity for application in large organizations.
The Students
The students in the program are graduates of social sciences (behavioral sciences, computer sciences, statistics, economics and management, logistics, information systems), industrial engineering and management, electrical engineering, mathematics, performance research, health and welfare.
Admission
Women and men who possess the following qualifications are welcome to apply for admission to our programs:

An accredited undergraduate degree from a recognized higher education institution in Israel or abroad, in social sciences, welfare and health, management, business administration and engineering with a minimum grade point average of 80 or the equivalent in each major degree course**

Admission interview.
*Candidates who do not meet the admission requirements but have appropriate practical experience, will be invited to a personal interview by the admissions committee. The committee will consider the possibility of admission to the program, depending on the applicant's background. There may be special completion requirements of courses taught in the Faculty of Social Sciences.
**Applicants who hold a foreign bachelor's degree, as well as graduates from universities with affiliates in Israel that operate with the approval of the Council of Higher Education, will be required to successfully pass the GRE exam as a condition of admission..

***Applicants with a bachelor's degree from a recognized institution of higher education where the language of instruction is not Hebrew, must pass a knowledge test in Hebrew at the level required by the university as a condition of admission.
The Studies
Classes will be held on Thursday afternoons from 14:00 to 21:00, and on Fridays from 08:00 to 14:00.
The Program
Students in the final project track will be required to study for about 36 semesterial hours.

Tuition
Duration of the program - two years of academic studies.
MBA students will pay for the entire program a regular university tuition of two academic years + ancillary payments (security payments, services, etc.), subject to the NIS regulations.
