פרופ' דפנה רבן סיימה את הדוקטורט summa cum laude בשנת 2005 ומאז משמשת כחברת סגל בבית הספר למנהל עסקים באוניברסיטת חיפה. היא משמשת כראש האקדמי של ספריית האוניברסיטה, חברה במרכז לחקר האינטרנט ובמרכז למדעי הנתונים, ועד לאחרונה גם במרכז המצוינות I-CORE LINKS. תחומי המחקר שלה כוללים את כלכלת המידע ומדידת המדע, ובהם הנחתה כ-40 תלמידי מחקר. מפרסמת בכתבי-עת מובילים, כולל JASIST, EJIS, Scientometrics, JIS ואחרים. 

 

Short Bio

Daphne Raban is an associate professor and the Academic Head of the University of Haifa Library. A member of LINKS, the Israeli Center of Research Excellence on Learning in a Networked Society, of the Internet Research Lab and of the Data Science Research Center at the University of Haifa. She was the founding Head of the Department of Information & Knowledge Management.

Her areas of expertise include the information society and the information economy; specifically, she studies information markets and business models, knowledge sharing, information diffusion, social media and serious games. Her work has been published in refereed journals including JCMC, JASIST, EJIS, ICS, CHB, JIS, PLOS One, Internet Research, Scientometrics, Simulation & Gaming and more.
